Fav of Favs!

Katz Deli:

There is nothing I love more that a good Romantic Comedy. Most of my favorites are written, produced or directed by Nora Ephron, When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle are by far my favorite.

Katz Deli is where Meg Ryan filmed her famous scene for When Harry Met Sally. I went with some of my close friends. I don’t remember anymore what I ate but it was something along the lines of a sandwich. I do remember that I wasn’t too pleased with food but it didn't matter much because I was so excited to be there and it was truly a dream come true for me. The script is clever and witty and truly a Nora Ephron classic! Anyone who knows me personally can tell you that I quote this movie all the time.

This is the beautiful arch located at Washington Square Park, also famous for the filming of When Harry Mete Sally. This is where Sally drops of Harry the first time they meet on their way from Chicago to New York City. (I am that little dot in the middle of the picture.)

Cafe Lalo:

I went to Café Lalo with by best friend Jona. We took a copy of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen with us in the hopes of remaking the scene of You’ve Got Mail, we couldn't find a crimson rose to complete this scene.

In the movie Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) is waiting for Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) at this café. They met in a chatroom and are meeting in person for the first time.

This is Jona's copy of this book, I finally got mine this summer :)

These pictures are posted right outside of the café where you can see Ryan and Hanks filiming the movie.

This is where one of my favorite parts of the movie was filmed. LOL makes me smile everytime I see it.

If you haven't had a chance to see either of these films I highly recommend them. Truly chick flicks that capture that love that you know sadly only exists in movies. Nora always knows how to give you the right dose of laughter and deep sighs of hope that that special someone is truly out there.

Go Team Jacob!

Photobucket
I went to see New Moon a few days after it came out, trying to avoid crowds and teenagers which for this movie was unavoidable. The movie was awesome and much better than the first one. I left the movie motivated to read how the Saga ends. This movie gives us a better understanding about the story behind Carlisle’s coven, the ever growing love between Edward and Bella, and of coarse JACOB! <33333

New Moon, is all about getting to know Jacob. His love for Bella and a connection that forms between them. It brings yet another legend to life, as we learn about Jacobs not so human side. We also learn about the Volturi’s who are a coven of vampires made up of some of the most ancient and powerful vampires operating from Volterra, Italy.

I was excited and looking forward to seeing this part of the Saga especially because New Moon was my favorite book out of the 3 I read from the Twilight Saga. I stopped reading the Twilight Saga because I actually really do NOT like Bella. I find her to be extremely selfish and her character annoys me so much I had no desire to continue reading it. I took me about a year to return to the Saga. I am currently reading book four because after all, I have to know how it all ends!! If you have not read the books, I’m telling you the movies don’t even come close. Especially the first movie, which I didn’t like at all. It was very choppy and both movies leave out the intimate details. If you really want to know how much Edward loves Bella and how much she obsesses over him???…..Read the books! There is so much more emotion that goes on in the books that the big screen has failed to deliver. Stephanie Meyers is a great author.

In between Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, I read The Host also written by Meyers which is also amazing! Sorry ladies no Edward or vampires in that one. ^_^
